Maryna Soun

Sofia Marcon is a Swiss student of Agricultural Sciences from the Bern University of Applied Sciences (HAFL).

Sofia did a one year internship between 2018 and 2019 on a Swiss farm to access to the studies at HAFL. She started her studies in September 2019 and chose the major International Agriculture.

She arrived in Cambodia in April 2022 and will stay for six months for her compulsory internship. Being a programme associate, she will conduct a study for her Bachelor-Thesis in Battambang province on Conservation Agriculture in the framework of the ISA (Innovation for Sustainable Agriculture) project lead by Swisscontact Cambodia. She will also work in collaboration with a tandem student of NUBB (National University of Battambang). Her research topic will be about cover crop in fruit tree farming.

In October 2022 she will return to Switzerland to finalize her thesis and graduate as Agricultural Engineer in January 2023.
