Mengcheang is currently the National Policy Manager leading national policy and TVET reform (NPTR) intervention. His major role is responsible for strengthening SDP’s evidence-based policy making as part of the ongoing national TVET reforms and implementation of the Cambodia Qualification Framework (CQF) including Training of Trainer Programme, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), Competency Standard Development and Public Private Partnership. His work is for a youth employment and integrating TVET solutions and he has worked very closely with the private sector and government counterparts ((Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Women Affaires, National Training Agency, TVET institutes and sub-nationals).
He has more than 8 years experience in the management of large projects and the supervision of large inter-cultural teams, particularly in more than 5 years experience as an expert for vocational education and training.
