CAMESCO

Background

CAMESCO was piloted through the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Building Project (EEB), a joint venture of Khmer Enterprise, USAID’s WE Act Project through Pact Cambodia, and Swisscontact. CAMESCO is envisioned as a regular annual conference for all the ecosystem actors to strengthen deal flows in Cambodia. 

CAMESCO 22 was successfully organized to recap the year-round progress of the 10 Give a Day events, 3 EBN, and other ecosystem-strengthening meetings that took place in 2022. CAMESCO was also integrated into the Collaborations Pillar under the Enhancing Entrepreneurial Ecosystem and Investments (3Ei) project in 2023 to ensure continued support for the benefits of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Cambodia.

Objective of CAMESCO

• Enabling Comprehensive Overview: CAMESCO is dedicated to providing a recap year-round summary of Cambodia entrepreneurial ecosystem initiative and its current status.
• Increasing Awareness of Opportunities: Recognizing the importance of awareness in driving growth and progress, CAMESCO aims to increase awareness of new programs, regional and global initiatives, and investment opportunities within Cambodia's entrepreneurial ecosystem. By disseminating relevant information, CAMESCO helps to empower entrepreneurs and stakeholders to capitalize on emerging prospects and build successful ventures.
• Attracting International Investors: CAMESCO actively seeks to attract international investors who are seeking opportunities in Cambodia. By showcasing the country's potential and highlighting success stories, we create an attractive and conducive environment for foreign investment. Through strategic matchmaking and networking opportunities, CAMESCO aims to facilitate fruitful partnerships between international investors and promising Cambodian ventures.
• Catalyzing Connections and Networking: With the belief that collaboration is the cornerstone of a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem, CAMESCO serves as a platform that connects and fosters networking among ecosystem actors, national and regional organizations, and international investors.
