In the rural communities of Bangladesh, Community Paramedics (CP) are gradually becoming the first line of primary healthcare providers. As a project dedicated to improving rural healthcare ecosystem in Bangladesh, ASTHA is working to strengthen the Community Paramedic (CP) service provision by improving the referral system and telemedicine using integrated modern technology. Accordingly, ASTHA project and CMED Health Ltd. will work together to establish a modernised mobile referral application for the CPs. Through this MoU, CMED Health and ASTHA will develop, integrate, and test this application through CPs in the different parts of Bangladesh., while checking the embedded opportunities, and effectiveness of using such technology in the rural healthcare system.

Nazmul Islam, Head of Medical Services & Business Development of CMED Health and Trina Hasan, Senior Officer – Partnership and Innovation, ASTHA, Swisscontact were present at the event.
