The Building Youth Employability Through Skills (BYETS) project of Swisscontact has collaborated with QA Harbor Limited on November 28, 2024, to launch a comprehensive Software Quality Assurance (SQA) training program. As part of this partnership, QA Harbour—a private software firm—is expanding its business by establishing a training wing with a revenue-generating model designed to ensure full sustainability beyond the project period.
This three-month SQA training program is thoughtfully structured into three levels—beginner, intermediate, and advanced—ensuring a seamless learning journey. Participants will progress through each level to successfully complete the training.
Small firms often hesitate to make significant investments when entering the market with a new service for the first time due to the associated risks. The BYETS project joined this partnership to act as a catalyst, supporting the market actor in introducing these new services. The module of the training program developed under this project will further be validated under National Skills Development Authority (NSDA). This collaboration focuses on creating impactful and effective training that empowers young professionals with the skills needed to build a promising future in the Software Quality Assurance arena. Moreover, this partnership addresses the existing skill gap in the employment market and prepares a more digitally adept generation.
Supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (EKN), the BYETS project aims to provide training to 25,000 youth across Dhaka, Chittagong, Khulna, and Rajshahi divisions by 2026.
