On July 30, 2023, the Building Youth Employability Through Skills (BYETS) project successfully conducted an orientation session on Training Implementation Guideline with the Training Service Providers (TSPs). Six TSPs participated in the session -Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO), RISDA-Bangladesh, Bandhu Technical Training Center, BGIFT Institute of Science & Technology (BIST), Rural Reconstruction Foundation (RRF), and UCEP Bangladesh. The main objective of the orientation session was to familiarize the onboarded teams with the Training Implementation process of the BYETS project. This workshop covered the guideline for conducting awareness campaigns, selecting trainees, managing trainee enrollment, ensuring quality training, facilitating job placements for the graduates, and adhering to financial, monitoring, and reporting requirements. The onboarded TSPs will be providing training on various topics covering web development, digital marketing and graphic design in locations spanning Gazipur and Savar under the Dhaka division, as well as Rajshahi, Khulna, and Chattogram.
BYETS will support TSPs in designing and delivering market-driven training services in selected sectors. Six selected TSPs will focus on providing training in the ICT sector to empower 3,160 youths with technical, employability, and entrepreneurship skills and connect them to income-generating activities over the next one year. This event marks a significant step towards achieving the project's goal. The project is funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (EKN) and implemented by Swisscontact. It aims to support 20 TSPs and enrol 10,000 youths in market-driven training in two key sectors, namely Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Agro Processing (AP), across Dhaka, Chattogram, Khulna, and Rajshahi divisions. Additionally, the project will provide workplace-based training (WBT) by partnering with 50 employers to upskill 15,000 workers in the AP and RMG sectors.
