The review identifies three key challenges that would lead the country to a path of a competitive and innovative nation:
Gloria Alonso, General Director DNP highlighted the timely recommendations aligned with what is proposed in the National Development Plan 2018-2022 currently under discussion in the Congress, particularly reflected on the “pact for entrepreneurship, formalization and productivity, a dynamic, inclusive and sustainable economy” and the “pact for the digital transformation of Colombia”.
Patrick Egloff, Charge d'Affaires of the Swiss Embassy in Colombia, congratulated Colombia for its upcoming entry into the OECD and highlighted that it is a deserved recognition thanks to the dynamism of the country, as well as the implementation of good practices. He also highlighted the importance of implementing the recommendations draw by the PTPR.
The vice Minister of Business Development of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Saul Pineda Hoyos, pointed out that the recommendations of the review will be taken into account in order to convert the productive development policy into a state policy issue.
