Since its inception, the EBN platform has proven instrumental in fostering collaboration and driving meaningful change to strengthen Cambodia’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. This year, EBN engaged 38 institutions, including government agencies, development partners, and ecosystem builders, highlighting its importance as a collective space for aligning efforts, sharing programs, and identifying market gaps.
At the EBN8 meeting earlier this year, progress on roadmap findings, aligned with the six domains of the Isenberg Model, was shared for validation and feedback. The EBN9 meeting built on these discussions, presenting an updated program map that identified 190 active and 20 future programs supporting Cambodia’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Insights from over 300 entrepreneurs provided critical data for refining recommendations to ensure alignment with market needs and opportunities. Gender-supporting factors, drawn from the 2023 Gender Lens Investing Landscape Study by the Sasakawa Peace Foundation (SPF) and Swisscontact, were also integrated to enhance inclusivity.
A key highlight of EBN9 was the group discussion, which offered further insights into improving roadmap recommendations. The collaborative efforts during the event underscored the significance of coordinated action to build a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem.
In 2024, EBN events recorded 69 attendees, with 100% reporting satisfaction with the platform. As the series for 2024 concludes, the entrepreneurial ecosystem roadmap, set for completion in 2025, stands as a testament to the progress achieved through collaboration. EBN remains committed to catalyzing impactful initiatives that support Cambodia’s entrepreneurs and drive sustainable growth.
Ecosystem Builder Network (EBN) is an initiative, in collaboration with Khmer Enterprise and Swisscontact, under the Collaboration pillar of the Enhancing Entrepreneurial Ecosystem and Investments (3Ei) funded by Khmer Enterprise (KE), Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
