On 8th June 2023, the fourth Give a Day of 2023, and the 14th edition in the series was successfully hosted at Khmer Enterprise Office, on the topic “Changes in the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem & Opportunities to Further Support Women”. Fifty participants attended the event.

Ms. Sabine Joukes, Country Director and Chief of Party of WE Act, Pact, joined as the keynote speaker to share her experiences of working to support women entrepreneurs in Cambodia. Sabine has been working diligently to equip young women entrepreneurs with the skills, business linkages, and the platform to voice their needs in the ecosystem.

The topic of Give A Day 14 sparked a much needed conversation surrounding challenges and opportunities of supporting women entrepreneurs as well as exploring the topic of Gender Lens Investment through discussions on the key barriers and opportunities to incorporate and promote gender lens in programs for women’s economic empowerment.

By bringing together stakeholders from different sectors, the 14th Give a Day event provided a platform to exchange knowledge, experiences, and best practices in supporting women entrepreneurs. With the insights shared during the 14th Give a Day event, a path to harnessing gender lens investing and promoting women entrepreneurship was introduced, providing a promising outlook for Cambodia’s startup ecosystem.
