The event provided the industry with an opportunity to interact with international design leaders and gain exposure to the latest industry trends and innovations.
The participation at the fair was facilitated and co-financed by the FEGO project, and the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, through the Kosovo Investment and Enterprise Support Agency - KIESA. The activity was implemented by the Association of Wood Processors in Kosovo.
Through FEGO project, Swisscontact is supporting the furniture sector in Kosovo by promoting exports and revenue growth for small and medium-sized enterprises, aiming at contributing to sustainable development and job creation.
The event facilitated fruitful B2B meetings, highlighting the potential for export and cooperation, and served as a platform for potential collaborations with Swedish companies. Furthermore, through cooperative efforts between the Kosovo Embassy in Stockholm and the Association of Wood Processors in Kosovo, the event also paved the way for new opportunities for collaboration with the Kosovo diaspora in Sweden.
To foster networking, the FEGO project engaged a Swedish company to identify, arrange, and facilitate meetings between companies in Kosovo and Sweden, resulting in over 100 meeting exchanges. This engagement demonstrates the growing potential of the sector and represents an extraordinary window for the promotion of Kosovo's wood processing and furniture industry in Sweden and other Scandinavian countries. The participation of the Kosovo wood and furniture production companies at the fair was also supported by the Swedish Ambassador to Kosovo, Mr. Jonas Westerlund, who was present at the opening of the fair. His efforts have been instrumental in showcasing Kosovo's potential on the global stage. The FEGO project remains dedicated to supporting local businesses, unlocking their full potential, as well as creating export opportunities.
