New CEO of Swisscontact

The Committee of the Swisscontact Foundation Board unanimously appointed Dr Philippe Schneuwly as the new CEO of Swisscontact at its extraordinary meeting on 1 March 2021.

Philippe Schneuwly has worked for Swisscontact since 2009 and has been responsible for the Partners & Clients division as a member of the Executive Board since 2019. Before this, he was deployed in the field in Latin America, including as Country Director for Colombia, Deputy Regional Director and, most recently, as Regional Director for Central America since 2016.

He graduated with a degree in economics from the University of Zurich in 1998 and went on to achieve a doctorate from the University of St. Gallen. Philippe Schneuwly is married with one daughter and lives in Zurich.

He will begin his new role as of 1 June 2021.
