The reconstruction at the Kyiv Professional College of Civil Engineering was completed, and the first training session had taken place. The air raid alert, which sounded during the event, did not disrupt the training of teachers, as the shelter doubles as a comfortable learning space.
To make this possible, the following work was completed in the shelter:
• Repairs to walls, ceilings, and floors;
• Upgrading of internal water supply and sewage systems;
• Installation of ventilation and air conditioning systems;
• Modernization of the heating system;
• Installation of an autonomous fire alarm system;
• Implementation of an alert and evacuation management system.
The shelter has been equipped with an inclusive restroom, with equipment provided by the project partner, Geberit. The project also supplied the institution with a lift for people with disabilities.
A master class, organized by the project partner Sika Ukraine, is being conducted for instructors and trainers teaching professions such as tiler, thermal insulation systems installer, and related trades.
This event will provide participants with new tools to train vocational education students, enhance the professional skills of industry specialists, and contribute to the development of a modern vocational education system in Ukraine.
