Pre-training orientation sessions were arranged by BGIFT Institute of Science & Technology (BIST) for the participants of graphic designing course under the BYETS project. The sessions were held to describe the course details to the participants, clarify their queries and help them understand how the course will help them to become professionally more successful.

Under the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector, BYETS is currently offering courses on digital marketing, graphic design, and web development. The course will be three-month long and will be taken by TSPs in two batches (morning and afternoon).

On August 1st, 2023, BGIFT Institute of Science & Technology (BIST), one of the training partners of the Building Youth Employability Through Skills (BYETS) project, organised pre-training orientation sessions for two batches of trainees who will enrol in the graphic designing course. During these sessions, the participants were enlightened about the BYETS project and its objective, details of the course contents, and the promising potential for future employment that the course offers.  Moreover, the orientation sessions provided a platform for addressing the participants' queries, fostering an atmosphere of confidence, and igniting motivation for striving towards a brighter future. The session also played a pivotal role in finalising participants for the training.

It was overwhelming to learn about the aspirations of the participants to acquire valuable skills and nurture their desire to work in the field of ICT.

"My aspirations revolve around becoming proficient in graphic design, with the goal of becoming a freelancer in the future. I have a strong desire to attain financial stability while simultaneously supporting my family."
Shared by one of the aspiring participants, Ms Rabeya Akhtar Liza, a dedicated mother of two.

Despite facing challenges after an early marriage, Rabeya paved her way to become capable enough which made her eligible for the training. Upon discovering the training opportunity, she couldn't contain her excitement to participate and enhance her skills to pursue a career as a freelancer. Similar to supporting Ms Rabeya, the project is committed to empowering young individuals with technical, employability, and entrepreneurship skills, ultimately connecting them to income-generating opportunities in the ICT and8 Agro Processing (AP) sectors. BYETS envisions extending support to 20 TSPs for enrolling 10,000 youths in market-driven training across Dhaka, Chattogram, Khulna, and Rajshahi divisions.

Building Youth Employability through Skills (BYETS)
The Building Youth Employability through Skills (BYETS) project will empower Bangladeshi youth with improved technical, employability and entrepreneurial skills, and connect them to income generating opportunities: jobs and self-employment. BYETS will partner with Training Service Providers (TSPs), government, industry, and employers to create a conducive environment for the targeted youth that would facilitate employment opportunities for them.
