The MoU Signing Ceremony

The Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES), and Swisscontact in Lao PDR held a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony for The Vocational Training and Employment Support Services Project (VTESS), on the afternoon 31st August 2021, at LaoTel Hotel, Vientiane Capital, Laos. 

The meeting was co-chaired by Mr. Nouphan Outsa - Director General of Department of Technical and Vocational Education (DTVET) of - MoES, and Mr. Michael Fink – Country Director of Swisscontact Lao PDR. A total of 18 guests from various stakeholders attended the event. 

The objectives of The MoU signing ceremony are to emphasize the cooperation between DTVET-MoES and Swisscontact to encourage the VTESS project in Lao PDR to achieve more.

The MoU signed is based on the legal agreement signed on 6th December 2019 between the Government of Lao PDR (GoL), represented by the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI), and the Swiss Government represented by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) to implement the VTESS project under the lead of the Ministry of Education and Sports and entrusting Swisscontact with the implementation of the project.
