Two-Day Job Fest in Khammuan, Connecting Job Seekers with Employment Opportunities

Khammuan, 14 July 2023 – A highly anticipated two-day job fest is set to take place on 14th and 15th July 2023 at the prestigious Riveria Hotel in ThakheakKhammuan province. With an extensive lineup of over 30 participating companies, this event promises to be a significant gathering, showcasing more than 500 employment opportunities across various industries. 

Organized jointly by 108Jobs, the Technical Vocational College of Khammuan province under the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES), in collaboration with the Vocational Training and Employment Support Services (VTESS) project of Swisscontact, the job fest aims to attract a diverse pool of skilled individuals and address the current job market demands. 

During the event, job seekers have the exclusive opportunity to engage with representatives from a wide range of companies, allowing them to submit job applications and gain valuable insights into the job market landscape. Moreover, interactive games will be held throughout the fest, providing participants with a chance to win exciting prizes. 

Beyond the job-related activities, the event will also feature engaging discussions on relevant topics such as "How to find a job in the current economic situation?" and "What qualities are companies looking for in potential employees?" These sessions will equip attendees with invaluable strategies for navigating the job market effectively. 

The ultimate goal of this two-day job fest is to serve as a comprehensive platform for job seekers, enabling them to explore diverse employment opportunities, network with industry professionals, and enhance their employability skills. By bringing together a wide array of companies and offering comprehensive career services, this event strives to bridge the gap between job seekers and potential employers.

The VTESS project aims at vocational training and labour market insertion or re-entering of schooling of the main project beneficiaries, who are people between 15 and 35 years of age, have completed primary and/ or lower secondary education only (early school leavers), and are subjected to income poverty. The main objective of the project is to improve the income and, ultimately, the livelihood of its beneficiaries.
