GO4IMPact – Improved Climate Resilient Public Service Delivery through Local Government Institutions in Water and Solid Waste Management Sectors

GO4IMPact’s 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence united communities through dialogue, cultural events, and collective action to empower women, and inspire lasting change.

Bangladesh’s traditional folk arts are being leveraged to educate and mobilise communities on pressing environmental issue – waste management. The ongoing cleaning campaign in Naogaon and Satkhira uses art forms such as Jari and Gambhira to promote sustainable waste management, water conservation, and climate resilience practices.

Recognising the importance of maintaining clean and sustainable market environments, traders have embraced integrated waste management to create a more inviting space for customers. Supported by the Embassy of Switzerland, and implemented by the GO4IMPact project, initiated by WaterAid and Swisscontact consortium, the campaign spearheaded collaboration with local market actors to promote waste management practices.
