Her passion for the tourism sector made Marcella fit right in as she assumed the role of project officer for WISATA II Program in 2015. She continued to hold similar title for the Sustainable Tourism Destination Development (SUSTOUR), where she supported the development of tourism product and service in the community. In 2024, she took on advanced responsibilities as the Senior Project Officer for Vocational Education and Training (VET) Development for the Sustainable Tourism Education Development (STED). Marcella is also certified as a Destination Leader in Indonesia by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.
