The project supports MINCETUR and PROMPERU and their regional counterparts to identify expansion and greenfield investments in lodging and tourism-linked services that contribute to the diversification and sustainable growth of tourism in Peru and in the target destinations of the WBG technical assistance project.

RESULT / IMPACT

  • The deliverables supported the World Bank Group in advising the Government of Peru to strenthen the competitiveness of the tourism sector.

OUR ROLE

  • The consultancy included Investment Trends Analysis; Assessment of Peru’s Investment Strategy, Institutions, Incentives; Reporting on stalled investments, solutions and manual for the creation of a Mincetur Investment Working Group. Providing recommendations for establishing a tourism investment facilitation unit and suggestions for tourism investment promotion programs, and identifying potential investments.
